E38 Trackball - Keyboard mount version
The E38 Series keyboard mount trackball module is an extremely high specification device that incorporates the latest Cursor Controls Ltd IP65 technology.
The module combines the patented optical trackball technology with the Cursor Controls Ltd hall-effect scroll wheel to provide a fully waterproof trackball solution when mounted into an IP65 keyboard assembly.
To compliment these two technologies, the module also includes left, middle, and right switch functionality as found in all conventional desktop trackballs/mice, making the E38 Series module a complete human interface solution for control of a cursor.
In its standard configuration, the E38 Series keyboard mount trackball is supplied with a black, fine-textured housing, USB and PS/2 output, and a grey scroll wheel. A variety of electrical outputs, ball tracking force options, colours and backlighting features are also available - please contact your local sales office for further details regarding these custom options.
The solid-state design allows the device to be subjected to extreme conditions and provides the user with the ability to wash down, decontaminate, and sterilise the module, making it the ideal trackball for a wide range of demanding applications and environments.
The unit has been designed to be panel mounted using the mounting and cut-out detail shown in section 7 of this datasheet. Typically, the unit might be used as part of an OEM keyboard or console.
